The Fertility Panel + AMH measures 10 markers across 8 areas in one blood draw: Anti-Müllerian Hormone (AMH) as a marker of ovarian reserve alongside the core reproductive hormones (FSH, LH, oestradiol, progesterone, prolactin); androgens and SHBG; thyroid function and antibodies; stress and blood-sugar markers (cortisol, glucose, HbA1c, insulin); a full iron panel; blood count and inflammation; cholesterol; and liver, kidney, salts and vitamin D. Your questions about the Fertility + AMH
What is AMH and what can it tell me? +
Anti-Müllerian Hormone (AMH) is produced by small follicles in the ovaries and is widely used as a marker of ovarian reserve — broadly, how many eggs remain. It can help give an indication of reproductive timeline and how the ovaries might respond to fertility treatment. AMH is one piece of the picture, not a yes-or-no fertility test, and is always interpreted by a clinician alongside the other hormones in this panel.
Is this test for women only, or can men take it too? +
This panel is designed around ovarian reserve and the female reproductive hormones, so it's most relevant to people with ovaries who are planning or considering pregnancy. It also measures testosterone, SHBG and the free androgen index. If you're investigating male fertility specifically, our team can advise on the most appropriate panel.
Does the timing of my cycle matter? +
AMH can be measured at any point in the cycle. Some other hormones in the panel — such as FSH, LH, oestradiol and progesterone — are best interpreted in the context of your cycle day, so we'll ask about your cycle when you book and our clinician will take it into account when reviewing your results.
What happens if a result comes back abnormal? +
A clinician reviews every panel before it's released. If something is outside the expected range, we explain what it means in plain English and recommend sensible next steps — which may include a GP appointment, a repeat test, or referral to a fertility specialist. This panel is a screening investigation and isn't a substitute for a specialist fertility assessment.
