15 markers, explained in plain English
The Basic Screen covers 15 markers across six areas of your health in a single blood draw: a full lipid profile for cholesterol and heart risk (5 markers), a glucose check for blood sugar, six liver function markers, seven markers covering kidney function and electrolytes, two inflammation markers (CRP and high-sensitivity CRP), and a full blood count. It's designed as an affordable, broad first-line health check rather than a deep-dive panel.
Markers you can also test on their own
Every marker in the Basic Screen can also be booked individually. Tap a marker to learn what it measures and why it's tested.

Your questions about the Basic Screen
What does the Basic Screen check? +
It's our entry-level health check — 22 markers in one blood draw. It covers your cholesterol and heart risk, blood sugar, liver function, kidney function and salts, inflammation, and a full blood count. It's a quick, affordable way to get a broad snapshot of your health.
Is this the right test if I just want a simple check-up? +
Yes. The Basic Screen is designed as a sensible first-line check for anyone who wants a broad overview without paying for a more detailed panel. If you'd like to add iron studies, vitamins or thyroid testing, a more comprehensive panel would go further.
Do I need to fast before this blood test? +
Because this panel includes cholesterol and glucose, we usually recommend avoiding food for a few hours beforehand for the most accurate readings. Water is fine, and our team will confirm any preparation when you book.
What happens if a result comes back abnormal? +
A clinician reviews every panel before it's released. If something is outside the normal range, we explain what it means in plain English and recommend sensible next steps — which may include a GP appointment, a repeat test, or onward referral. This test is a screening investigation and isn't a substitute for a clinical diagnosis.
